CELO, COFME’s specialist in fixing technologies, has signed an agreement for the sale of 90,000 boxes of construction products to Ivory Coast, expanding its market to sub-Saharan Africa.
CELO has managed the first orders of this operation in 2019. The African country as a whole will receive 90,000 boxes of construction products: systems of fixing and fastening, as well as specialized screws. Each box has a capacity of 1000 units of these products.
The company began its analysis of the African market three years ago and already worked in the north of the continent, although it did not have a presence in Sub-Saharan Africa.
To explore this region, CELO participated in a trade mission to Ivory Coast and Cameroon. The mission was organized jointly by ACCIÓ (an agency of the Catalan Regional Government for the promotion of business competitiveness) and the Plan Metal-Fomento of the Spanish Government.
As a result of the previous planning, the introduction of CELO in sub-Saharan Africa has materialized thanks to an agreement with one of the main distributors of the construction and industrial sector in Ivory Coast. CELO’s screws will thus be available in the 14 stores of the distributor in the city of Abidjan, one of the main commercial centers of Ivory Coast, and in other points of sale of the country, to which this distributor also gives service. After this relevant success, Senegal and Cameroon are now the next target markets for CELO on the African continent.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: CELO, DAISALUX, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA, SOFAMEL and SOLERA.
