The result for the 2020 financial year reflects the group’s resilience in the face of the global pandemic.
In 2020, the pandemic has been a severe test, also for COFME companies. Despite this, the ability to adapt to changing, even in extraordinary circumstances is an asset for the Group. In this scenario, COFME exported to 132 different countries in 2020, compared to 126 in the previous year.
The EU zone shows the most favorable balance, followed by the Middle East and North Africa. Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Germany and France, in that order, are the territories to which most exports have been made. Other positive data are the growth of exports in some areas, namely an extraordinary increase of 32% in Southeast Asia, 28% in the Middle East, close to 16% in North Asia and 14% in Central Africa.
