DAISALUX, COFME’s emergency lighting specialist, has set up a new IP protection test room for all its luminaires.
DAISALUX solutions have the best design to guarantee resistance to environmental conditions and, consequently, adaptability to a wide range of applications. In this line, the protection of the electronic circuits of the luminaires against external elements, like liquids and dust, is key.
The IEC standards and their European EN and Spanish UNE transpositions stipulate the degree of protection of equipment against the effects of water and solid material particles, especially dust, from a series of standardised test conditions. In this way you can any equipment can easily be classified according to its degree of protection “IP” (International Protection Marking). The IP degree of protection makes it possible to choose the right luminaire for the ambient operating conditions.
DAISALUX adds to its modern installations an IP test room with the most advanced test equipment, where all the standardised tests can be carried out in the most rigorous way in order to know to what extent its luminaires can withstand the input of external materials. Understanding and pinpointing where weaknesses lie and taking action to correct and improve results is part of the production process for all DAISALUX solutions.
Although all emergency luminaires can be certified in these facilities, a redundant process is carried out through the services of an independent certification body, so the customer has the maximum quality assurance.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: CELO, DAISALUX, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA, SOFAMEL and SOLERA.
