FERMAX, COFME’s access control specialist, has published a new version for the Augmented Reality app “Fermax for Real”.
Augmented Reality allows us to interact with the real world to add more information. Real-looking objects are superimposed on real scenarios, helping our imagination to visualize new possibilities and solutions to our needs. Aware of this, FERMAX developed the “Fermax for Real” app in 2014. By means of everyday gadgets such as smartphones and tablets, the client could interact with FERMAX products and place them in any environment that could be visualised through the cameras of these mobile devices.
The success of this initiative, which is free and can be downloaded from the FERMAX website, has led to the updating of this tool, always with the customer at the centre and the aim of offering a memorable user experience. The new version of “Fermax for Real” has been redesigned to include new products from the FERMAX catalogue, especially the DUOX (2-wire system) and MEET (IP system) outdoor panels and terminals, the main FERMAX technologies in the field of video door entry systems. Likewise, the design of the user interface has been renewed, and now includes a new marker to place the device in the actual desired location and activate the Augmented Reality mode to superimpose it on this scenario.
In addition to providing a new experience for the end customer, Fermax for Real offers the installer a better form of presentation, freeing them from heavy sample cases: with just a smartphone or tablet, they can present to any residents’ association, the display of outdoor panels and terminals located in their own doorway or inside their homes, as well as interacting with them. Naturally, the app includes complete product sheets, with all their features and an interactive 3D image of each one of them, which can rotate 360º.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: CELO, DAISALUX, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA, SOFAMEL and SOLERA.
