FERMAX, COFME’s access control specialist, provides connectivity to its old VDS equipment, whose global installed base exceeds three and a half million units.
The VDS audio and video door entry system greatly facilitates installation, as it significantly reduces the number of system cables. Instead of the traditional system of 4+N wires where “N” is the number of dwellings, the VDS system uses only 3 wires. This has made it a successful product with a large installed park, which follows offering the user excellent performance.
To confer a second digitized useful life to any VDS installation, it is enough to add Wi-Box, a new FERMAX device of new creation and small size (80 x 80 x 20 mm), which allows to connect any VDS equipment to the home WI-Fi, and manage its functions through a mobile phone. From this mobile, the user will be able to receive calls, chatting, opening the door, calling on the concierge, activating the outdoor panel camera, taking photos, opening the door without keys, or activating any of the functions available. Wi-Box brings security, comfort and mobility to the user, and a second business opportunity to the installer.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: CELO, DAISALUX, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA, SOFAMEL and SOLERA.
