SODECA, COFME specialist in industrial ventilation, assumes the improvement of energy efficiency and air quality in buildings as design objectives of the heat recovery units and filtration units, adapted to the most demanding regulations for heat recovery and air filtration.
Directive 2002/91/EC aims to ensure energy efficiency. The Regulation on Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE) transposes this Directive, as well as adding air quality as an objective.
In order to achieve good energy efficiency, RITE requires the installation of heat recovery units in any air-conditioned installation that treats a flow rate greater than 1800 m3/h. By means of its heat exchanger, a heat recovery unit transfers heat from the circuit of extraction of foul air of the interior of a building towards the circuit of contribution of clean external air. This heat recovery makes it possible to reduce the additional supply of air conditioning (and therefore of energy), depending on the thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger.
The air filtration units allow the recovery of clean air from polluted air in buildings, through the conjunction of filters that remove particulate pollutants, providing the solution to the problem of air quality.
