The 10,000 square metre building, inaugurated on October 5th, is located in the La Barricona Industrial Park in Ripoll (Spain).
Intended for the manufacture of industrial fans with the latest and most efficient technologies, the new plant is a response to the desire to continue growing and the lack of space in the facilities of Sant Quirze de Besora, which SODECA will maintain with its own growth plan.
With a height of 3 floors, the building is distributed in 3 volumes. The central one is destined to the manufacture. The warehouse is located at one end of the same floor, and the offices at the other end. The outdoor car park has more than 100 places, and is complemented with a landscaped treatment of the surroundings of the building for its optimal integration with the environment. A later stage foresees the enlargement of the warehouse area by 5000 square metres.
An avant-garde design that expresses the corporate values, such as efficiency or modernity, wants to make the new factory an exemplary reference. An automated system of hermetic gates avoids energy losses. Roof extraction systems prevent heat losses. The installation of photovoltaic panels enables self-consumption. All this has led to the A energy rating certificate for the building, the maximum that can be achieved.
SODECA now has six production plants, seven subsidiaries around the world and a European research centre. This global presence allows for on-site management of international projects and more personalised customer service.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: APOLO, DAISALUX, EGI, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA and SOFAMEL.
