SOFAMEL, specialist in safety and connection of COFME group, presents its new electronic IEC detector for medium voltage by contact.
The new Power Light voltage detectors have an acquisition system with high-speed microcontroller for data processing, which gives maximum reliability in the presence of conflicting electrical fields. They are distinguished by the incorporation of a built-in flashlight in its upper part, independent of the detection system, and high brightness and low consumption LEDs, for use in very low visibility conditions.
The Power Light voltage detector series presents different models according to the working voltage range (1 to 79kV), designed to comply with the standards IEC 61243:2003+A1:2009 and UNE-EN 61243-1:2006+A1:2011.
The rapid response capability of the Power Light models is guaranteed by the self-starting function when voltage is detected. A self-checking system for the complete circuit, which is carried out by simply pressing the same power button, makes possible to quickly and easily check that the equipment is in perfect condition for use in any circumstances.
The information is presented to the operator immediately, through a double system for indicating the detected voltage: optical, through red and high brightness LEDs, and acoustic flashing through a buzzer. The absence of voltage is also indicated by high luminosity green LEDs. An orange LED indicates a low battery level, which leads to the auto switch-off of the device below a certain limit. The Power Light models have an automatic shutdown in standby mode after two minutes of absence of voltage. The standby mode has a consumption of less than 1 μA, which allows to preserve the charge of the battery and to extend the operation time.
The COFME Group consists of eight Spanish leading manufacturers in the field of electrical equipment: CELO, DAISALUX, FERMAX, SACI, SALICRU, SODECA, SOFAMEL and SOLERA.
